Wishing you all a wonderful Valentine's Day today!
Our day thus far has been loud and rowdy...seems daycare boy is not a happy camper today and loudly voicing his lack of pleasure with the world. A morning trip to Hobby Lobby (for embroidery floss and quilt batting) with Sweetpea and the boy resulted in a struggle just to get him in the car seat. Seems at almost 18 months, he thought I would allow him to "drive" the car instead of ride strapped in the backseat. Um, no!
But all is quiet right now...he's asleep.
Backyard roses...love all the petals
Today, beautiful blue skies and sunshine.
It's been gray and rainy for days here.
Prince Charming's Valentine's day gift...heart printed sleep shorts. I used the First Choice boxer pattern and lengthened the legs. He likes them! :)
Sheep
Sheep and supplies
Horse in progress
Completed pig...but her colors are backwards (I think there is an error in the book's directions...but could not find any info online indicating my thought.) The body of my pig is darker than her ears, snout, and hooves. The book picture is just the opposite. I will either redo my pig or leave her alone.
The stitching projects come from the above book which I've been seeing more and more online. I liked much of what I saw and ordered a copy to live here.
I love the Country Time Quilt and started it right away.
It will be for my grandmother's hope chest...made now for a figment in my imagination.
I think I'm going to enlarge my quilt a bit. I am thinking my squares will be bigger than seven inches. I'll have to add borders around my animal squares. I'll also add bias binding to my quilt. Or maybe instead of enlarged squares...I'll just add borders to the edges of the completed quilt top. Decisions, decisions.
Before I sign off and head to the sewing room, I'm linking a story of a wonderful couple. We've attended Holy Mass with this couple for years. The wife passed away last October and at times just looking at the man alone in mass moves me to tears.
I hope and pray my own marriage sees such a long and happy lifetime of love and joy!
Love,
Cheryl

That story is precious. Just precious.
