I am joining Barbara in her 12 / Year...2013 Monthly Photo Diary
hoping to capture some of the highlights of each month of the year!
Many colanders (and salad bowls) of garden salad greens...lettuce and spinach
A new mug and box of tea for the cold days and evenings
A St. Padre Pio 9-day novena and Christmas gift rosary chaplet for intentions that beg God's help
the last three delicious lemons off my backyard neighbor's tree...I hear my brother has a tree with more lemons than he can possibly eat ;)
A Veronica Romanesque cauliflower growing so beautifully in my dad's garden
Carrots from our own garden and so many more hopefully growing a little bigger
red leaf lettuce
newly planted leek seedlings...I like to call them "leeklings"
Gifts of floral initial handkerchiefs for two dear friends
The "E"
and the "T"
a waste canvas cross stitch linen hankie for me...stitched on a cold day while my little daycare boy napped
a completed baby boy bubble for Henry
and a pink bishop dress for his sweet little cousin, Adele
bishop neckline closeup...
Coming in February...more ironing board covers with the felt pad sewn inside...like the old days.
Family and friends started asking me for a new ironing board cover, so I've purchased supplies, started cutting out and sewing and will have them ready within a couple weeks...stay tuned!

I feel like I had a visit with a friend! Love that baby boy bubble and that bishop is perfect as always.
ReplyDeleteThank you, friend! :)
DeleteWould you please tell us what pattern you used for the bubble? This is my favorite blog!! Everything you make is wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, thank you so much! :) The pattern is by Old Fashioned Baby and called Sweet and Simple Bubbles and Bonnet pattern. There are two pattern sizes in the envelope - infant and 3-6 months. This pattern is easy to make and goes together just beautifully! I made this one in Imperial batiste for easy care using the 3-6 month size. Good thing...the baby was born weighing almost 9 lbs!
DeleteDitto what Martha said.....word for word!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Janie :)
DeleteWhat pattern is the baby boy bubble? Too cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Aunt Honey :)
DeleteWell, if I had read the other comments before posting, I would know wouldn't I? Sorry!
ReplyDeleteNo problem :) Glad you found the info - this pattern goes together just great!
DeleteLove your pictures, friend. The handkerchiefs are gorgeous. And I am so envious of your veggies! Faith wanted to know when our strawberries and watermelons would be ready. Duh!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Barbara :) Strawberries and watermelons will be here before we can blink our eyes tight...the month of January passed so quickly....
