Online Christmas Shopping...

....it's a very good thing!

I've been playing Santa today.
I made my list over the weekend and have checked it all twice!
Thankfully, everyone on my list has been very good this year!

Husband...check
Firstborn....check
Secondborn....check
Sweetpea....check
Secondborn's girlfriend....check
My 10 year old goddaughter....check
Dad....check
Mom....check
Mother-in-law....have ideas, just not sure yet...need Prince Charming's input on this one....

While waiting for the packages to arrive, I'll be doing a bit of sewing, a bit of baking, and a bit of babysitting, along with some Advent reading.

I've begun
contained in
The Incarnation Birth and Infancy of Jesus Christ
by St. Alphonsus de Liguori.

I always seem to remember this book when Advent is almost over...not this year...I pulled it out yesterday and have it next to my rocker.

I'll also be joining Barbara at Praying for Grace and others
in the St. Andrew/Christmas Novena which begins on November 30th...The Feast of St. Andrew.
My chaplet is ready and waiting atop my Advent reading next to my rocker.

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment
in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary,
at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold.
In that hour, vouchsafe, O my God!
to hear my prayer and grant my desires,
through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ,
and of His Blessed Mother. Amen.

psst....go see Barbara...she's giving away a St. Andrew Chaplet to one lucky person!

  1. Reading your lovely article makes me already feel the Christmas spirit coming over me.
I've just bought my mom a special phone for seniors with bigger buttons and letters, for $15. Its a Tracfone SVC Samsung T155G, I thought it might be useful for grandparents or in your case your mom in law who has everything.
I love these little booties for the kids they look easy to make, yet charming and snuggy.

  2. Thank you, Linda :) The phone idea sounds like a very good thing for seniors. The bootie pattern is from www.heatherbailey.com and is available as a free download. They are lots of fun to make! :)
