From Potager To Salad Bowl

I picked these late this afternoon and added both the radishes (sliced thinly) and the tasty, tender greens (torn into bite size pieces) right into the salad bowl to join the lettuce, tomatoes, sliced carrots, purple cabbage, and celery already in the mixture made earlier today for lunch. 


I've decided to join sweet Margaret in her quest for a smaller body.  I've been indulging in too much good food...portions too large, too many carbs, too many side servings of sweets....etc.  
My jeans are too tight!  There are four pair of brand new one-smaller-size-jeans in my closet...hardly worn.  I purchased them about 18 months ago after losing a nice amount of weight.  Soon after buying the new jeans, I got a little too lax and the weight slowly started creeping back.  The new jeans got put away and I had to bring out the two pair of next-size-up-jeans folded and shelved in my closet.  Now those are not feeling and looking so wonderful.  I've been aware of all this, but just could not find my will power.  I think it was stuck under the gumbo and rice, the rice dressing, sweet potato casserole, and all the other goodies in our fridge last week....tiramisu and lemon squares to name a couple.

Margaret's blog post and pics of her little piggies helped me find my will power. I'm ready and started this morning!

  1. Oh what a challenge here at Christmas time! I'm with you though. .I just bought a rower machine.. Now wishing John were here to put it together. Thinking of you and sending Advent Prayers to you and your family!
